Dresden Animal Ornaments
Made in West Germany

Nostalgic double-sided Dresden Christmas ornaments that were offered in Blümchen's
Holiday 1988 catalog, we found a box full
of these old-time treasures in our archives!
Made in Germany in the traditional fashion,
these Dresden animal ornaments are still in
unused, like-new condition.

Manufactured from heavy cardboard stock
with a shiny foil covering, the stamped and
die-cut animals are deeply embossed. Made
as a set of mirror-image figures that can be
glued together to create one double-sided
animal, or just cut them apart into two bas
relief Dresden Christmas ornaments.

A Note about Production

Please do note that these cardboard
ornaments were produced on vintage
machines. Due to the thickness of the
cardboard and method of die-cutting
and embossing the details, the shiny
foil covering on some of the animals
may show slight splits in the foil.

Dresden Rat Christmas ornaments from West Germany

Make a Double-Sided Ornament

You will need white glue-all, paint brush
and a pair of scissors: trim both halves
of the ornament, then paint glue around
the inside edges. Position the sections
back-to-back; hold tight until secure.
