Spun Cotton 'Watte' Craft Shapes
Vintage Watte from the 1980's - 1990's ~ Made in Germany
These lightweight craft shapes are produced from a natural cellulose material that is spun by machine, then press-molded into the final shape. Our old-style Watte can be used for all manner of crafts projects, decorations and holiday ornaments. Watte can be painted with acrylic paint or dip-dyed in a liquid ink for a solid base color that can be airbrushed with soft blushes to make fruit ornaments.
Sparkles of glass glitter or mica flakes can be applied over an even coating of white craft glue to add a festive gleam to your creations. To make original designs such as snowmen or mushrooms, glue together the spun cotton shapes before decorating.
