Holiday 1992 Art Glass Fancies
from the Blümchen Atelier
WOW! Look what we found while Spring cleaning! Vintage glass ornaments that date to Blümchen's early years, these rare glass fancies were offered in our 1992 "The Best of Christmas Past" catalog. Still in like-new condition, they have been stored in our archives for 34 years. The free-blown glass bells were made especially for us by a glassblower whose work has been exhibited in the Lauscha Glasmuseum - see below for the story behind these ornaments.
Crafted by our artists with only antique, vintage and old-style materials, we had the free-blown glass flower bells made to order in Germany. Featuring genuine old stock fabric leaves, blossoms and composition berries from Europe, each glass bell was hand-wrapped with metal German crinkle wire. The silver Lametta tinsel trims have real silver plating and thus are "guaranteed to tarnish."
Sold as one glass ornament.
Free-blown glass flower bells are
all about 4" high by 2½" wide.
