A popular foliage accent since the mid 1800's, feather sprigs were designed to replicate the look of pine needles, and were used to create the very first artificial Christmas trees. Each sprig is made from natural goose feathers which are dyed, split in half, and then carefully spun around a wire stem.

These authentic feather sprigs are hand made for us using real goose feathers. Custom-dyed in a range of naturalistic hues, these feather sprigs are
made by an American craftswoman just for us. Each feather sprig is approximately 4" high and 1" wide and is topped with a small composition berry.

Vintage Goose Feather Garlands
Unique Feather "Flower" Garlands ~ Made in Germany
Blümchen acquired these interesting old "flower" garlands in the late 1980's, and we have never seen a similar item in all the years since. We sent a sample garland to Germany in hopes of having them reproduced for us, but the estimated cost was very
high. So we have finally decided to part with these rare vintage florals, and send them off to good homes all across America. Old store stock from the 1930's or 1940's, each garland has twelve goose feather sprig "flowers". Hand crafted in Germany.
